An Arabian Halloween

Since we are not in the US..I refuse to buy American pumpkins. ($28 for one pumpkin..NOT HAPPENING)
So, we got creative. We carved watermelons and cantaloupe. The nice thing about it: The kids ate the insides as they carved them.

MEMORIES of Summer and a Tribute to the Kerr Clan

Maybe a little homesick. Maybe just so overwhelmed by the blessing of a great family. Most likely the following posts stem from a recent article in the Arizona Republic about NieNie the strong, brave woman who is finally 'Out of the Woods'. Surviving burns on over 80% of her body due to a private plane crash with her husband, she has been declared a survivor by her doctor. She has years of pain and therapy ahead but she chose life and she will make it alright!
Anyway, the article focuses on her relationship with her sisters and I couldn't help but reflect on the friendship and love I share with my sisters. Going through photos of the summer I decided to catch up on some "undone" blogging.

Definitely worth reading..and, if you have sisters..get tissues handy first!
All this talk about sisters drove me to my photo storage to get a great shot of me and my hot sisters. TRAGEDY! My storage hard drive won't open. I need help. I know exactly which picture I am searching for and it's stuck inside a little black box!
Then there is the guilt. Cairo doesn't have one. A sister, I mean. The plea is to all those great girl cousins of hers. They all have sisters. Please include Cairo, be her sister. I don't know what I would do without mine!
xoxo

Riding the Alpine slide was a highlight. We were at the Utah Winter Olympic Park. We watched the Chinese Aerial Ski Team practice their flips into the pool then rode the lift up to the top and sped our way down on sleds.

Top of the peak at Deer Valley. What an incredible view we had of Mt. Timp. and all of the valleys in all 4 directions. Amazing to think this spot is likely covered in a few feet of snow right now!

A Patient Guy Who Has Alway Put Up With 3 Crazy Sisters!

This is Dave. My only brother. I have so much love and respect for him and as the oldest sister am so proud of him as I see him as a man. In my mind he will always be my little brother but I have learned that he is really good at taking care of himself. (Maybe too good. I want him to find some great, derserving woman to share his life with.) He has so many incredible different interests and talents. He built this boat over the past 2 years and we all watched him race it this summer in Utah. He is always willing to endure family time with the sisters and will join us for dinner on our "Girls Get-A-Ways". On top of all that he is a super uncle who shows interest in our kids and laughs at them and knows them and is a great role model for them. I love you Dave..

Utah Olymics..Sweatshop

During the Grandkids Olympiad Jenn, Sarah and I made some super cute tote bags..our own "sweatshop" in one of the bedrooms of the condo. Time with family and time with my sisters is so precious to me. We never fail to laugh a lot and share our trials without judgement and really are 3 seperate women who share so much we are one.
