Hiking to Timp Cave

It is a great thing to vacation for the summer in our home state. We are experiencing things and doing things that we haven't done in all of our years living in Utah.
One of those things is hiking to Timp. cave. It is an amazing National Monument. I was amazed by the beauty and the thousands of years it took to create the inside of that cave. The kids loved it. The hike was a lot tougher than we had anticipated but we all made it. Jenn, her kids, Drew and Dani (we left Taylor home with a babysitter), Bobbi and our kids and I all went on the hike. It was an incredible experience and amazing to go from hot 90 plus degree weather into the 40 degree weather of the cave.
As I have mentioned. The flag of the United States impresses me more than ever and I loved the shot of it in the morning sunshine.

Kerr Centenial Reuinion in Spanish Fork Canyon

The giant cabin held 100 people with two beautiful kitchens and beds and baths for all. With a built-in, indoor playground and gymnasium the kids were always on the go. There was also a pond filled with trout and a family of swans with 6 babies. The kids had a great time getting to know the extended family and we had a fantastic time getting reaquinted with cousins we used to play with on Grandma and Grandpa Kerr's farm.
It was a 100th birthday party for the two of them who would both be 100 this summer.
The morning flag raising ceremony and pledge was especially moving for me after looking at a different flag for the past 10 months. The kids really got into it also.
