I have to say I am an extremely proud Mom.
This year Cairo swam at a swim meet in Dubai in 6 different events and as the photos show...She took 1st place in 4 of them.
I'm not proud because she won but because she works so hard to improve her swimming. She sometimes doesn't want to practice but will soon come around and jump into the pool and will not give up until she has worked really hard to improve.
Today, (Oct. 7th) I went to pick her up from her after school practice (which is 1.5 hours 3 days a week after school) and she was freezing in the water. Shivering is not something we are used to here in A.D. The chiller in the pool was crazy cold today. She asked me what time it was and knowing she still had 30 minutes left I just said.."A little bit longer." She continued to swim her guts out. In that last 30 minutes I watched her swim from the blocks, the full 25 meters, get out and run back to the blocks 15 times. Today, I admire my daughter more than anyone else. She is amazing and she is only 7. I learned alot from her today. I love and respect her so much! See the following great shots of the meet in Dubai.
