Jack and Liam having a great time coloring eggs Friday night.
A few ground rules before we started the eggy/treat hunt on the compound.
Trust Jack, the clown, to find another use for the camel muzzles..These things are versatile!

Improv is what we do here. Most of the time it turns out to be more fun and interesting than it would be at home.  This year we used camel muzzles as our Easter Baskets.
Cairo loves a party!  When she saw the invitation to the compound Easter Party, she was over the moon.  As always, she loved every moment of decorating cookies, dying eggs and hunting for treats around the compound.

Sam on the Easter Hunt.
OK, it looks like the Easter Bunny cake dressed up for Halloween..It's the best I could do.  It tasted great tough!  I remembered my Mom making this cake for Jenn's birthday every year since her birthday falls on April 3.  Thanks for the memories, Mom!

A Day at the Races

The kids got out early today so we headed out to the camel track with a few other families.  I think I enjoyed it more than all the kids put together.  Camels are as common for them as cows were for me when I was their age..Not that unusual.

Banoffee Pie

As always, great things come from Molly's kitchen.  I don't know if she's friend or foe for sharing this one.  Some suggest she's just trying to generate business for herself as a personal trainer.  Either way, this could possibly be the best dessert in the world!
Recipe:
Base: Graham Cracker Crust
Filling: 6oz. Butter, 1/3 C. White granulated sugar, 1/2 C. dark brown sugar, 1 can sweetened condensed milk.  Melt first 3 ingredients on stove over low-medium heat, stirring until sugar grains are dissolved.  Then add condensed milk and, stirring continuously, bring gently to a boil to make a smooth, golden caramel.  Pour caramel over the crust and chill for about an hour.

Slice 4 bananas over the caramel, top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder for decoration.

Then: Quickly find 10 friends to help you eat it or you and your spouse will polish it off while watching ITunes TV downloads after the kids are in bed!
